About us
It started with a plant we almost killed.
Meet Fiddle Fi Fo Fun, a Fiddle Leaf Fig. We had so many plants we couldn't keep up with them all, so we built OFPlants to help us care for every one. That's how we found out we'd been overwatering our fig, and with OFPlants we nursed it back to life.

The story of Fiddle Fi Fo Fun
Four years, six photos, one stubborn fig. From 2ft and almost dying to 8ft and thriving.

Oct 2022
All good.
Big, glossy leaves. Thriving. Which made it easy to stop really looking at it.

Dec 2022
Too much love.
We watered on a schedule, not on what the plant needed. The leaves yellowed and dropped.

Mar 2023
One leaf left.
A bare stem and a single leaf. This is where most plants get given up on.

Mar 2023, up close
A tiny new bud.
Drier soil, more light, and patience. Then, at the top of the stem: new growth.

Jul 2023
Thriving again.
Full of leaves. Not a streak or a badge. A plant that came back.

Sep 2026
Three years on.
Taller, fuller, still pushing out new leaves. The comeback stuck.
Why we built OFPlants
When the fig was struggling, we tried the plant care apps. They were nagging checklists: water now, mist now, you missed a day. None of them helped us see what was actually going wrong, and none of them noticed when things got better.
What saved Fiddle Fi Fo Fun was looking closely, changing one thing at a time, and being patient through months of no new leaves. When that first bud showed up, it felt like a victory.
Somewhere along the way, we realized a plant app should work like that too: help you notice, explain what's happening, and celebrate the comeback. So we started building one.
Notice, don't nag.
A photo tells you more than a checklist. We help you see what changed and why.
Celebrate the comeback.
New leaves deserve a moment. Progress matters more than perfect streaks.
Stick with it.
Recovery is slow. Roots first, then leaves. We keep you going through the long middle.
Give your plants a comeback story.
Identify plants, diagnose problems from a photo, and celebrate every new leaf.
Help your plant write its own comeback story
OFPlants keeps a care schedule and journal for every plant, identifies species from a photo, and diagnoses problems like yellow leaves, drooping and root rot.
